Carefree Car Ownership
Reasons to have car repair insurance
As a car owner, you want to feel secure and at ease when venturing the highways on long road excursions or business trips. Car repair insurance can protect you from the unexpected obstacles that might suddenly arise on the open road. An engine breakdown might effect the timeliness of your arrival, but it will not take a major chunk out of your wallet with the proper type of coverage.
Most repair insurance policies cover the total cost of major component failure, such as engines and transmission. Small items, such as lights and interior electrical units, are not typically covered. Paying the bills for major components out-of-pocket will most likely produce a tremendous strain on your budget, especially if you haven't planned for these unfortunate mishaps. In case you do have knowledge of the car parts that might fail in the near future, there are options available that will let you limit your coverage to those specific accessories.
If your car is used, or if the extended warranty has expired, car repair insurance is the best way to maintain similar benefits. Unlike most warranties, repair insurance policies don't usually expire until your vehicle does.
