According to Snopes.com, a Times reporter in St. Petersburg, Florida conducted an informal survey in 1990 to find out how many red cars were in the area, as well as which ones received tickets. The survey found that there is no discrimination when it comes to red cars, as vehicles with other colors are just as likely to be ticketed. In fact, statistically speaking, it seems that gray cars are more likely to be noticed by police officers.
