Carefree Car Ownership
How to pass time on a drive without an iPod
If you start a road trip or lengthy commute to work and realize that you forgot your iPod, don't worry, there are plenty of other things that can keep you entertained while you focus on the drive ahead.
The radio is always a great backup to the iPod. Although FM and AM stations don't offer you the same control as an iPod, you will easily be able to find stations playing current hits.
Aside from listening to music, you can also prepare for the upcoming workday while driving. This might require a little more planning ahead, as you will have to record yourself beforehand using a program that can record sounds and convert them into music files.
When considering car care tips, the one thing you should never do is pass travel time by talking on a cellphone. Although hands-free devices are the best way to go, the depth of the conversation alone might be enough to distract you. Always limit distractions in order to ensure a smooth drive.
