Making Motor Trend Memories
Entertaining car-friendly activities
When your children start to get fussy in the car, it can make it harder for you to pay attention to the road because you are trying, simultaneously, to calm them down. To help keep your little ones calm and entertained during the ride, consider some of the following car travel tips for commute-friendly activities.
Connect-the-dots. This childhood favorite is great for toddlers who are just learning how to count.
Find the differences. Help develop your kids' spatial recognition with an activity that can capture their attention, while letting you focus on the road.
Book of mazes. Suitable for preschoolers, look for a book that incorporates some of their favorite TV personalities from popular shows like Sesame Street.
Crossword puzzles. This is great for elementary students and above, and can increase your children's vocabulary skills.
Paper fortune teller. You can either print out an online fortune teller or encourage your kids to make one of their own. A quick internet search can explain the folding pattern necessary to make this work, but your kids may already know how!
With these activities on hand, get ready for a peaceful fun-filled drive!
