Lake Compounce
For those theme park adventurers looking for a blast from the past, Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut is the perfect destination. Since its opening in 1846, Lake Componce has remained the oldest operating amusement park in North America. The park’s classic wooden rollercoaster, Wildcat, was constructed in 1927 and still runs today. In addition to traditional rides, Lake Compounce also features a modern water park next to its titular lake.

Cedar Point
Located in the middle of Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio, Cedar Point is a speed demon’s paradise. Cedar Point earned the title"America’s Roller Coast" due to its 17 rollercoasters and beachside location. The monster coaster Magnum XL 200, along with three other coasters, stands over 200 feet tall and can simulate weightlessness for riders. Additionally, Cedar Point was named "Best Amusement Park in the World" 14 years in a row by Amusement Today.
