Famous movie cars - part II
Some movies are best known by their stylish automobiles that have become film icons - so many that they couldn't possibly fit onto one list. Looking for some more movie-inspired car shopping tips? Take a look at part II of some of the most famous vehicles from the big screen.
Eleanor
Gone in 60 Seconds is a film loaded with beautiful cars, but one in particular stands out among the many. Nicolas Cage's mysterious "Eleanor," a 1967 Shelby Mustang GT500 is the one car that can't be stolen, making it the most desirable automobile in the entire film with its blend of vintage and modern sports car styles.
The General Lee
Despite the Dukes of Hazzard's less-than-phenomenal run on the big and small screens, one piece of the classic TV show remains burned into memory - the General Lee. This bright orange 1969 Dodge Charger helped the Duke boys out of more situations than they can count - often making impossible jumps over rivers, trains, canyons and other obstacles.
Herbie
Appearing in The Love Bug, this 1963 Model 117 Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle may not look like much, but it's got it where it counts. Taking on big and bad race cars on the track, Herbie managed to win the day while helping fuel the VW Beetle craze of the '60s.
